So, a little bit about myself……I live in the Kent countryside and paint from my studio at home, mainly in oils, or acrylics and oils. I draw creative inspiration from places and objects that I love, particularly our beautiful coastlines and countryside. I get enormous joy from painting, and it has made me look at the natural world through different eyes. As with anything creative it can also be a stimulating mix of challenge, absorption, frustration, and experimentation in search of the finished piece. It gives me a creative recharge and I pick up my brushes most days. I hope my work reflects my enthusiasm and passion, and my enjoyment of colour and experimentation.
I work by combining base layers of acrylics with overlays of oils to build and etch form and texture, sometimes incorporating mixed media. I enjoy experimenting to create work that suggests to the observer their own interpretation. As you will see, I also enjoy the occasional colourful and bold floral diversion!
The ultimate pleasure for me is seeing a client drawn to a painting that I have had joy in creating. I hope you enjoy my art and the energy behind each piece.
I sell extensively through the annual Open Studios program, private commissions and exhibitions in local Kent and Sussex galleries. My work is framed in unique hand made wooden frames made in her studio.
